Day 1
Start your thrilling adventure with us as you arrive in the beautiful coastal town of Walvis Bay, known for its stunning lagoon adorned with vibrant pink flamingos and graceful pelicans.
In the evening, join us for a delightful meet and greet dinner, where you’ll have the chance to mingle with your fellow riders and our experienced crew. During this gathering, we’ll provide a detailed overview of the tour itinerary, ensuring that you are well-informed and prepared for the incredible journey that lies ahead.
Day 2
Get ready for an adrenaline – packed day as we dive headfirst into the thrilling world of dune riding! Today is dedicated to conquering sand dunes of all sizes, from the smaller ones to the magnificent giants. Prepare to learn new riding techniques and hone your skills as we navigate some of the most exhilarating dunes known to man. These dunes hold significant prestige as they attract the attention of Dakar riders and drivers who come here to fine tune their abilities and put their equipment to the ultimate test. You’ll experience firsthand the excitement of this renowned training ground. As the day draws to a close, we’ll find ourselves at the breathtaking Goanikontes Oasis. Nestled in the heart of the Swakopmund moon valley, this haven of tranquillity offers the perfect setting to unwind and reflect on the incredible dune riding experience we’ve shared. Day 3
Today we embark on an exciting journey towards the captivating region of Damaraland. As we head north through the desert, be prepared to witness awe-inspiring panoramic views that will transport you into the world of the famous Dakar rally. Our route takes us through the mesmerizing Namib Desert, where the ever-changing terrain provides a perfect day on the KTM 500s. Along the way, we’ll have the opportunity to marvel at one of Namibia’s iconic landmarks, the majestic Spitzkoppe Mountain. These towering formations command attention and offer a glimpse into the geological wonders of the region. As we pass Spitzkoppe Mountain we will encounter local villages and farmsteads that dot the landscape. The locals will surely be amazed as they catch sight of our motorbikes cruising past their little huts, leaving them in awe of our adventurous spirit. It’s a humbling experience to witness the joy and excitement on their faces as they see our motorbike convoy passing through their community. Our end destination is a lodge nestled amidst the magnificent Erongo Mountains. Distance covered 230 Km
Day 4
Get ready to ride your bikes to a local bushman village. This amazing opportunity allows you to gain a firsthand glimpse into the unique life of a Bushman family and witness their extraordinary survival skills in the bush. With Dirkie there to translate any questions you may have, this experience becomes even more special. As you traverse the beautiful Erongo conservancy on your bikes, keep your eyes peeled for an array of wild animals like Oryx, Zebra, Kudu and Springbok. The short journey continues to Omaruru Game lodge, where you will have awe-inspiring encounters with wildlife. Imagine being so close you can almost touch them! This proximity provides a unique opportunity to appreciate their beauty and observe their behaviours up close. Going on a game drive will allow you to further immerse yourself in the wildlife experience. In addition to the game drive, you will also witness the feeding of Cheetahs at the lodge. This provides insight into the important conservation efforts dedicated to protecting these endangered species. Distance covered 85 Km
Day 5
Day 5 of your Namibian experience promises an exhilarating adventure, especially for off-road motorbike enthusiasts. The journey towards Brandberg Mountain, Namibia’s highest peak, will be an exciting ride. With the very capable KTM 500s you will tackle jeep tracks, sandy riverbeds and rocky terrain. Along the way, we’ll have the opportunity to witness the local Himba tribes still proudly adorned in their traditional clothing, while their red painted skin adds a touch of cultural authenticity. This encounter will certainly give you a deeper insight into their way of life. Our day will conclude at the remarkable Brandberg White Lady Lodge, a personal favourite in Namibia. After a thrilling day of enduro riding, enjoy relaxing around the blue swimming pool as you take in the enormous landscapes and its views. You may even be lucky enough to spot the desert elephants in campsites or at the watering hole. Distance covered 220 Km
Day 6
As you head westwards towards the coast, excitement fills the air. You will ride along exhilarating endure style jeep tracks that wind their way alongside the majestic Brandberg Mountain. The terrain constantly changes, demanding your full attention as you navigate through rocky sections and hill climbs. Your focus and skill are put to the test as you conquer each challenging stretch. Along the way, you catch sight of small mining settlements nestled amidst the Goboboseb Mountains. These remote desert mountains are buzzing with activity as local Damara tribes mine some of the world’s finest gemstones. The vibrant atmosphere and the glimpse into their traditional mining practices add an intriguing cultural element to your journey. As we venture into and through the Messum crater, an old volcano dating back 130 million years, you truly get a sense of being in the middle of nowhere. As you near the coast, temperature drops, signalling your approaching destination. Cape Cross Lodge awaits, with its own private bay and awe-inspiring view. Distance covered 230 Km
Day 7
After a refreshing night, enjoy the cool sea breeze and the calming sound of crashing waves, it’s time to embark on the next leg of your adventure. Your first stop is the Cape Cross seal colony, where you’ll have the incredible opportunity to walk among cape fur seals. Witnessing these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat is truly a memorable experience. Don’t forget to also take a moment to admire the historic cross erected by the Portuguese explorer, Diego Cao, back in 1484. He was the first European settler to visit the area. Leaving Cape Cross, we tackle the salt roads towards Henties Bay, where even more excitement awaits. You’ll tackle a long beach section that leads towards the Zeila shipwreck. Riding along the beach with the ocean on one side and the desert on the other is a unique and thrilling experience. Passing through the coastal town of Swakopmund we hit our last bit of off-road riding and what better way to end it off in some more sand dunes. The evening will be spent reflecting on the amazing adventures you had with Untamed Adventures and fellow riders. Distance covered 180 Km
Day 8
As your thrilling motorbike tour in Namibia comes to an end, you will be transferred to the International Airport of Walvis Bay.
Here we will say our goodbyes and hopefully see each other soon.
Bikes
The full use of one of our meticulously maintained bikes is available for the duration of the tour. You won’t want to give it back.
Accommodation
All your accommodation is taken care of during the tour. If we are camping, then our crew attends to pitching/breaking camp and all tasks in between.
Guide
It goes without saying, but we’ll say it anyway. Our guide will accompany you all the way. He will be able to offer tuition, advice and general banter if required.
Fuel
All fuel consumed by your bike is paid for by us. We will all roll into the filling station together, and your guide will take care of the payments.
Support Truck
Our well equipped support truck is with us at all times. It has any spares and all the necessary for minor repairs including punctures and any adjustments required. The truck always has a spare bike on board, so you’ll never be out of action!
Transfers
We take care of all transfers to and from your arrival and departure points.
Permits
We arrange in advance, any required permits for national parks etc.
Game Drives
Where applicable, all game drives are included with your tour.
Cultural Visits
Any entrance fees for cultural visits are also included.
Insurance
You must arrange your own insurance policy for this tour.
Flights
You are responsible for all flights to and from the point of pick up and drop off.
Riding Gear
You are required to bring your own riding gear.
Drinks
Any drinks that are not included with meals are for your own account.
